With Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee coming up next week, there have been a variety of celebrations taking place in homes and offices across the UK, and there was no way we could miss the chance to take part!
We got members of our team some wonderful @TheCornishCompany delicacies to tuck into, including spiced biscuits, shortbread and some classic Cornish scones, accompanied by heated discussion over whether the cream or jam should go first (feel free to add to the discussion!).
We also had a special guest appearance in the office, which was a delight for all. …

Happy to announce that we've launched a brand new internal operating system plus, if that wasn't enough, an updated website!
In terms of design, it might look very similar to our old page. But these changes have been a while in the making and will bring a wealth of new benefits and efficiencies to both our front end website and back end functionality.

A couple of our team here at Tetenal, Mark Norman and Chris Allsopp took part in last nights Big Sleep 2022 to raise awareness of the struggles that Homeless people go through and how easy it can be to slip into a world which none of us ever think we'll be part of.
Mark posted an update during the night "You try to sleep on your little strip of cardboard box protecting you from an ice cold stone floor but I'm a light sleeper the best of times and it's not happening. It's so quiet and every little sound you hear gets amplified. People talking, rats walking, trains which sound like they're going to run you over. Sirens every 10 minutes. You feel so vulnerable, fearing anyone who walks by you is either going to urinate on you or even attack you."
There's still time to help us raise money for this very worthy cause. Please follow the link in our bio and give whatever you can. Every penny really does make a difference to people's lives. …

Comic Relief's Red Nose Day is back this week and while the official date is Friday 18th, we wanted as many people as possible to take part in our activities, so we started off a little early.
The office was filled with red, as a result of team members having dipped into their wardrobes to find something to match the theme. A few put their baking skills to work and showed up with an assortment of baked goods to encourage donations throughout the day.
Last but not least, we commenced our Great Meridian Relay Walk! Each of us have taken turns walking around the block where the office is situated, chipping away at our target distance – 50 miles.
Take a look at the attire and goodies seen in the office during this year's Red Nose Day celebration. …

Tetenal Ltd is proud to help The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, and to participate in The Big Sleep 2022 on Tuesday 22nd March. They bring vital awareness to the issues faced by some of the most vulnerable people in our society and provide a wealth of support services to people who often find themselves with no one to turn to. Nobody aims to be homeless, but circumstances can often conspire to leave people in a situation they never dreamed they would be in. We’re pleased to be able to support this extremely worthy and important event. ⠀

@Foma_CZ turned 100 last year!
It's a mind-blowing feat by any means — that's a lot of film! FOMAPAN have already rolled out Retropan packaging to celebrate their special anniversary, but had to pause the initiative due to the disruption we've all experienced in the last few years.
Now they're picking up where they left of with more limited edition packaging. You might have already seen the fancy design on the packaging of their 35mm film if you've already got some. Others may be lucky enough to get your hands on some in the coming weeks as more goes out!
You can pick up a roll at:

“A girl should be two things: Who and what she wants.” – Coco Chanel
It's with this mindset that we take the time to recognize the numerous achievements of women around the world on #InternationalWomensDay. Today is a day where we strive not only to show the women in our lives how much they are valued, but also how much they bring to the world. Furthermore, we are reminded that, although this celebration only comes around once a year, the attitudes that underpin International Women's Day should be maintained throughout.
After not being able to celebrate together in the office last year, we continued the Tetenal UK tradition of buying the wonderful, talented ladies of our team a lovely gift to show them how much we appreciate them all! This years gift – some fantastic Hotel Chocolat gift sets, complete with an indulgent assortment of treats.

Album photography by Joel Brodsky
Iconic music artists and bands of the late 60s and early 70s make up a significant portion of Joel Brodsky's body of photographic work. Back then, an artist's only visual representation for music enthusiasts and record buyers came from cover art, making the medium one of the most important in terms of cultivating and maintaining a fan base. This is perhaps why, as the La Times eulogy for Brodsky notes that the photographer was particularly dedicated to preparing his gear, set and subjects in order to achieve the perfect shot.
This is perhaps why, in the time he spent actively shooting album covers – an estimated 400, for music artists ranging from Funkadelic, to Kiss and The Doors – he was given so many opportunities to create the imagery which would have been paramount to an artist's musical identity.
Album Covers Featured:
1. Funkadelic – Maggot Brain (1971)
2. The Doors – The Very Best Of The Doors (2007)
3. Aretha Franklin – Let Me In Your Life (1974)
4. Chic – Ces't Chic (1978)
5. Kiss – Kiss (1974)
6. Buddy Guy – Hold That Plane! (1972) …

More Film cameras in cinema!
We included some more recent sightings for this post, and this time the theme is Canon & Nikon👀 Analogue cameras are still quite a common appearance in TV and movies, especially when the goal is to achieve a vintage feel or recreate a certain period in history.
Which of these movies have you seen, and which system would you rather own? …

Now this looks like a fascinating project by @pierremuth! It’s always a welcome sight to see people finding new was to experiment with analogue processes.
What do you think of the print results?

Since 2008, I am using almost exclusively a digital camera. But I am always missing the black and white darkroom…
